Winter Camping in #mywildCanada

Winter camping is one of our favorite things to do.  Up in Northern Ontario, the winters are long and hard.  We love to get outside and have fun in the snow.  With the right gear and a good campfire – winter can be one of the best times to get out and enjoy nature!

Snowshoes are a must in the waist deep snow.

Winter in the forest is beautiful – we are surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Already this year there is more snow on the ground than most years’ total snowfall.

Getting outside and enjoying it is what winter is all about!

Campfires are a much enjoyed luxury in the woods – it feels so good to warm yourself by the fire while breathing in the crisp fresh clean air on a nice winter day.

Enjoying a nice hot lunch by the campfire – what’s better than that?

Maybe hitting the lake tomorrow to do some ice fishing, that might be better….

We’ll let ya know.
